The students of Assam down town University, led by Dr. Jasmin Islam, continue to explore the rich cultural and educational offerings of the Summer Programme 2025 at Silpakorn University International College (SUIC), Bangkok.
As part of their immersive learning experience, the students delved into the history and heritage of Thai cuisine, participating in hands-on workshops guided by culinary experts. They not only learned the techniques behind traditional Thai cooking but also gained insights into the values of Thai hospitality, an art form that blends warmth, mindfulness, and deep-rooted respect, admired around the world.
Adding to their cultural immersion, the students attended a special session on traditional Thai desserts, where they had the opportunity to prepare and taste authentic sweets, an experience that beautifully highlighted the sweet side of Thai culture. The program also featured intercultural awareness activities, including interactive quizzes on world flags, languages, and cultures, encouraging global understanding and peer-to-peer learning.
The day concluded with the distribution of participation certificates, acknowledging the students’ enthusiasm, engagement, and growing global perspective.
This ongoing international exposure not only enriches their academic journey but also nurtures cross-cultural competence, preparing them to become globally aware professionals of tomorrow.
