Students with a science background can opt for a career in physiotherapy. To become a practicing physiotherapist or work in a hospital or clinic, one must have a Bachelor's degree. The course provides a basic understanding of the human body, medical sciences, therapy procedures, and related skill training. The curriculum covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, psychology, medical and surgical conditions, biomechanics, kinesiology, disability prevention, rehabilitation, and others. Practical work forms a significant part of the course, including an internship period where students work under professional supervision at various hospitals and institutions. Interpersonal skills are essential in physiotherapy as it is a patient-oriented job. A physiotherapist should have above-average analytical and logical reasoning skills, scientific reasoning, problem-solving abilities, good memory and recall of scientific facts, manual dexterity and physical stamina, patience and understanding of people, a sympathetic approach to patients, a desire to help others, levelheadedness in emergency situations, mental and emotional strength, team spirit, good observation skills, and the ability to instill confidence and courage in patients. These attributes, along with a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, are key to a successful career as a physiotherapist.

The students will be engaged in different activities headed under different clubs namely dance, music, photography, drama, literacy, etc. The students will participate in regular club activities like workshops, competitions as per their interest and hobbies. The students will be trained to represent ADTU in various inter university, state and national level competitions. The students will be given a platform to earn from invited experts in their respective fields. The students will get an exposure of 360 degree learning methodology considering the overall growth along with the academics
This course helps students to understand descriptive statistics, including measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode) and measures of dispersion (range, variance, standard deviation) and also teach students how to summarize and present data effectively using tables, charts, and graphs.
This comprehensive course delves into the essential aspects of physiotherapy practice, focusing on the ethical principles that guide healthcare professionals and the key global organizations that play a vital role in shaping the field. Through a combination of theoretical study and practical insights, students will acquire a solid understanding of ethical codes, the role of the World Health Organization (W.H.O.), the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (W.C.P.T.), and the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).
This subjects deals with osteokinematics and arthrokinematics of the joints, ligaments and joint capsules and pathomechanics of the joint complex.
This course is designed to train students in the conduct of a systematic literature review and developing the skills to conduct a review built on the framework of evidence-based practice, an increasingly important standard in the arena of literature reviews. This course combines didactic classroom sessions with substantial project work to create a systematic literature review. Students will be taught how to perform each step in a review and will then be expected to apply it to a topic of their choosing. They will get feedback at each stage in the process. The final deliverable for the course will be a systematic literature review.

On completion of the course the students should be able to understand the importance and the dynamics of teaching and learning, plan effective teaching session in Physiotherapy. Through an adapted collaborative lesson study approach, the students will develop holistic learning experiences which could be applied in the clinical practice.
The student will use the scientific literature to write a review that includes: relevant background on the research topic; good coverage of important literature and key concepts; a critical analysis of current research in the field and potential future research directions.
Introduce the students to the concepts related Sources of Energy, Physiology of Movement, Environmental influence on Performance, Special aids to performance and conditioning, Body consumption, nutrition and caloric balance, Considerations of age and sex in exercise and training
Physical and Functional Diagnosis focuses on the basic assessment skills for physical and Functional diagnosis i.e. Musculoskeletal, Neurological and Cardiovascular-Respiratory in order to study the various impairments and their impact on activity and participation of the individual.
Introduce the students to the concepts related Characteristics and components of Electro therapeutic stimulation systems, Instrumentation for neuromuscular electrical stimulation, Anatomy and physiology of peripheral nerve, muscle and neuromuscular junction, Electrical properties, Clinical Electro physiological testing. Acquire the updated knowledge of production / biophysics as well as the Physiological / therapeutics effects (at the cellular levels) of various electrical currents, Thermal agents, ultra sound & electro – magnetic forces & potential risk factors on prolonged exposure

To understand the fundamental principles of physiotherapy management, including administration and practice, enabling students to apply this knowledge as informed professionals in the field and to develop an understanding of legal and ethical issues relevant to physiotherapy practice, equipping students with the necessary knowledge to practice ethically and within the bounds of the law.
To introduce the students to the concepts of normal motor growth and development, emphasis on reflex maturation and give a basic understanding of various systems of the body also have thorough knowledge about, developmental screening, principles of laboratory investigations, growth and development, assessment of progressive locomotor disorders.
Introduce the students to the concepts related Pain:Neurobiology, Use of Exercise therapy techniques, electrotherapy and application on various types of cases. Introduce the students to use Physiotherapy and other therapy methods Following Obstetric and Gynaecological Disorders. This paper shall focus on recent advances of the clinical conditions including its assessment and management with emphasis on Physiotherapy context, however due importance shall also be given for advances in Anatomy and Physiology.
Introduce the students to the concepts related Anatomy and physiology of cardio-vascular and respiratory, Systems, Biomechanics of respiration, Intrauterine development of cardio pulmonary system, and difference between the adult and pediatric, cardio pulmonary system. At the end of session, a student has to demonstrate soft skills in assessment and management of various cardio respiratory disorders.
Students should be able to demonstrate awareness of the use and interpretation of common tests used in diagnosing neurologic disease and apply the principles underlying a systematic approach to the management of common neurologic diseases (including the recognition and management of situations that are potential emergencies.
Will be able to identify, discuss and analyse the musculoskeletal dysfunction in terms of biomechanical, kinesiological and biophysical basis. Will use the anatomical rationale for clinical tests used in differential diagnosis.
