The students will also be given the knowledge on Detection, measurement and application of isotopes in research and clinical biochemistry. Quality control indicators, laboratory safety and information system of clinical laboratory which are important for routine lab practices will also be taught.
This subject aims at imparting to enable the students to carry out routine clinical laboratory investigation. They should be able to provide technical help for selected sophisticated blood banking techniques with adequate knowledge of various principles.

The basic knowledge of different diseases caused by various micro-organisms is also imparted. The training is aimed at making the students competent to isolate and identify the causative micro-organisms.
The candidates will learn about importance of DNA & RNA technology. The subject is aimed at making the students understand the genetics in medicine as well.
