The training in this subject is imparted to enable the students to carry out routine clinical laboratory investigation. They should be able to provide technical help for selected sophisticated clinical pathology techniques with adequate knowledge of various principles.
The purpose of the course is to train the students to prepare and stain tissue slices of various kinds (paraffin/frozen). Students will have in-depth information about special stains. Students should be able to assist with autopsies and learn specimens for a museum exhibition. The procedure for gathering clinical samples, processing them, and documenting data is taught to the students. Additionally, the students receive fundamental instruction in automation, quality control, and safety procedures. Additionally, cytology training aims to prepare students for various sorts of exfoliation smears/sections and staining. In-depth knowledge will be provided by students in a special stain. The ability to collect and exfoliate cytology smears, and perform standard and specialized staining procedures.
To make the students know about the Historical background of Microbiology and to have knowledge and understand bacterial genetics, immunology and parasites .In addition, this course covers laboratory diagnosis of blood parasite.
This course introduces students to the essential concepts and techniques of statistics, equipping them with the fundamental skills necessary for data analysis and interpretation. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical application, students will gain the ability to collect, analyze, and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
This course introduces the student to understand the basics of various biomolecules structures and functions of cellular components. The students will also learn how to examine the analysis of biomolecules as this activity describes the risk factors, evaluation, and management of inborn errors of metabolism and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in enhancing care delivery for affected patients.
This course is designed to train students in the conduct of a systematic literature review and developing the skills to conduct a review built on the framework of evidence-based practice, an increasingly important standard in the arena of literature reviews.This course combines didactic classroom sessions with substantial project work to create a systematic literature review. Students will be taught how to perform each step in a review and will then be expected to apply it to a topic of their choosing. They will get feedback at each stage in the process. The final deliverable for the course will be a systematic literature review.
This specialization starts with an Introduction to the Biology of Cancer, introduces the molecular biology of cancer and the biologic hallmarks of cancer. Learners will be able to identify the major types of cancer worldwide, describe how genes contribute to the risk and growth of cancer, and describe the ten cellular hallmarks of cancer. Learners will also describe uncontrolled cell division as well as mutation, neoangiogenesis and their roles in tumor formation. The learners will be introduced to prostate cancer and be able to list the risk factors. Specifically, you will examine how prostate cancer is found, diagnosed, staged, and treated.
This course aims to provide The Patient Safety & Quality Leadership Specialization covers the concepts and methodologies used in process improvement within healthcare. The learners will develop a system’s view of safety and quality challenges and will learn strategies for improving culture, enhancing teamwork, managing change and measuring success. They will also lead all aspects of a patient safety and/or quality improvement project, applying the methods described over the seven courses in the specialization
This course aims to provide the learners design and justify smallscale positive interventions to enhance specific aspects of their personal wellbeing based on the skills acquired in each course of the specialization. Personal reflections are implemented provide learners with the skills to impact their personal and professional lives

This is a unique online course which teaches students the basics of blood film analysis. This course is specifically tailored to those with a background in Medical Science, Medicine or Pathology who are studying or starting work in a haematology laboratory but also serves as a valuable continuing education resource. To be successful in this course, access to a haematology laboratory is desirable but not essential. After succesfully completing the course, the learner will have achieved an intermediate level of competence in interpreting & analysing blood films.
This course will teach the students the basics of Immunohematology and Blood group systems. Students will also learn the basics of blood transfusion, its indication, and the different pre-transfusion testing methods. Examples: Blood grouping,Cross matching Techniques, Compatibility Testing, Selection of blood, Blood Collection, Donor selection, Blood collection etc.
The candidates undergoing training in medical laboratory technology will learn about the Communicable diseases and non-communicable diseases, Compliment system, antimicrobial resistance along with the control measures, Antigen- antibody reactions and Introduction to mycology. The basic knowledge of different diseases caused by various micro-organisms is also imparted. The training is aimed at making the students competent to isolate and identify the causative micro-organisms.

This comprehensive course is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of hematopoiesis, red blood cell (RBC) and white blood cell (WBC) development, and associated disorders. Emphasizing the investigation and clinical features of anemia, the curriculum encompasses the origin and abnormalities of WBCs, including a detailed examination of various types and their related disorders.
The "Biochemical Analysis and Laboratory Management" course covers qualitative biomolecule analysis methods, including Chromatography and Electrophoresis, Photometric Techniques like Colorimetry, and Isotope applications in research and clinical biochemistry. It explores Cell Fractionation, laboratory design, safety protocols, and Automation in Biochemistry Laboratories. The course equips students with a comprehensive skill set, blending theory and practical applications in biochemical analysis and laboratory management.
Through this course, the students will have a comprehensive understanding of basic neuroanatomy, electrical signal transduction, movement and several diseases in the nervous system.
Through this course, the students will explore and learn about some of the major and current Global Health Challenges at the Human-Animal-Ecosystem Interface: zoonotic emerging infections (e.g. Ebola, Nipah, MERS, Avian Influenza), antimicrobial resistance, neglected tropical diseases (e.g. rabies, leishmaniasis, zoonotic TB), snakebite and other human-animal conflicts etc. Learners will learn new concepts from the field of epidemiology, social anthropology, disease ecology, veterinary sciences, global health policy etc. and approaches such as One Health, Eco-Health and Planetary Health. Also, understanding innovative tools and frameworks used to study and tackle some of these Global Health challenges of the Sustainable Development Goals era.

This course offers "An overview of research methodology including basic concepts employed in quantitative and qualitative research methods. Includes computer applications for research.
The student will use the scientific literature to write a review that includes: relevant background on the research topic; good coverage of important literature and key concepts; a critical analysis of current research in the field and potential future research directions.
