Assam down town University organized a one-day session on “Entrepreneurial Skill Development & Industrial Exposure to Biopesticide and Biofertilizer Units” for 2nd-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students (Elective: Biopesticides and Biofertilizers). The event was conducted by IIC, AdtU, in collaboration with the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Technology.
The session aimed to bridge classroom knowledge with real-world practices in sustainable agriculture. Dr. Pranab Dutta, Professor at Central Agricultural University, delivered an insightful presentation on types, production, and success stories of biopesticides, inspiring students toward agro-entrepreneurship.
Students gained hands-on training at the Biocontrol and Molecular Lab and explored mass production techniques at the biopesticide and biofertilizer units. They interacted with experts, learned about microbial handling, formulation, and the economic aspects of eco-friendly agri-solutions.
This initiative empowered students with practical knowledge and entrepreneurial insights into the world of sustainable farming.
