As part of its ongoing strategic partnership with L&T EduTech, Assam down town University took a significant leap forward in promoting industry-integrated education through a high-level leadership visit on 24th April 2025.

The key highlight of the visit was the announcement of two new specializations: Mechatronics under the Programme of Mechanical Engineering, and Semiconductor Technology under the Programme of B.Tech in Computer Science. This strategic academic expansion aligns the university’s curriculum with evolving industry demands and technological advancements.

The distinguished delegation, comprising Mrs. Febin M F, Head – L&T EduTech; Mr. Mayank Ranjan, Head – Integrated Programs, L&T EduTech; Ms. Apurva S.– L&T EduTech; and DMN team members Mr. Nitul and Mr. Alakesh Baruah, was warmly received by the university’s dignitaries, including the Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dean and Additional Dean of Engineering, and other senior officials.

The visit included an engaging Student Interaction Session, during which Mrs. Febin shared insights on emerging trends in engineering and technology. Top-performing students were recognized with certificates of excellence. The delegation also visited classrooms to interact with students and faculty, gaining first hand perspectives on academic engagement and program delivery.

The day concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to strengthening academia-industry collaboration, fostering innovation, and nurturing industry-ready graduates through impactful and forward-looking educational initiatives.
