The Programme of Performing Arts, under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Assam down town University, successfully organized its monthly event, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents in vocal music and dance. 

This initiative aims to nurture artistic expression while also exposing students to performances by accomplished musicians, enriching their learning experience.

The highlight of this month’s event was the special guest performances by renowned flutists Nibir Dev Sharma, accompanied by skilled tablist and percussionist Himangshu Barpujari. 

During the event, the guest artists mesmerized the audience with beautiful performances of classical ragas, including Raag Yaman. Nibir Dev Sharma's soulful flute melodies, combined with Himangshu Barpujari’s rhythmic beats on the tabla, created an enchanted musical experience for everyone present.

As the Performing Arts Programme continues its series of monthly events, it remains dedicated to preserving artistic traditions, fostering student growth, and elevating the cultural landscape of the university.
