79th Independence Day celebrated with flag hoisting, march past, cultural performances, and tributes to unity and national pride

Assam down town University celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. 

The event commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of reverence and unity.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N. C. Talukdar addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of freedom and unity in the process of nation-building. A vibrant march past by the students reflected their discipline, coordination, and commitment. The cultural program featured engaging performances that highlighted the richness and diversity of India’s heritage.

The event was organized by the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, with the Faculty of Engineering proudly securing the award for Best Parade.
