Assam down town University hosted a session on "Green Jobs," centered around the theme "What are green jobs, its impact on economy and encouraging the coming generation to have a career in the same," organized by Young Indians Guwahati Chapter.
Speaking as the keynote speaker, Mr. Prafulla Kumar Saikia, Special Executive Officer of ASSAM FOOD AND CIVIL SUPPLIES CORPORATION LIMITED Supplies Corporation Ltd., gave a perceptive talk about the growing prospects in the green energy industry. He emphasized a wide spectrum of job routes, from hygiene workers to chief engineers, underlining the industry's inclusive growth potential. Mr. Saikia also offered a detailed review of financial allocations from both the Assam and Central governments for various green energy projects. The intended construction of ethanol production plants throughout Assam, together with precise information on sites and finance, was a major theme of his presentation, demonstrating the area's strong commitment to the development of renewable energy.
The session educated students on the strategic importance of government initiatives and budget allocations in promoting sustainable development, also inspired them to align their skills with emerging industry demands, encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to a greener future.
