AdtU Nursing students showcase creative, nutritious meals in practical session

Assam down town University celebrated a blend of nutrition and creativity with an engaging practical session by the Post Basic BSc Nursing 1st Year students, guided by their nutrition course teacher, Dr. Yashmin Nongrum, Programme of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics, AdtU. The students showcased their expertise by preparing creative recipes that emphasized balanced nutrition across essential food groups.

Highlights included toddler-friendly meals featuring small stuffed sandwiches, spinach omelette rolls, yogurt for probiotics, and an assortment of fresh fruits, designed to support growth and development with a touch of visual appeal. For infants, nutrient-dense dishes like apple puree and khichdi were thoughtfully crafted to meet their dietary needs.

This session underscored the significance of proper nutrition, also encouraged innovative thinking while prioritizing health. Kudos to the Nursing students for their dedication and innovation in fostering holistic health practices and empowering the next generation of healthcare providers.
