Assam down town University proudly collaborated with the SPIC MACAY Guwahati Chapter to host a vibrant cultural initiative dedicated to promoting India’s rich heritage of classical music and traditional arts among the youth. 

The programme brings together distinguished artists including renowned Kathak exponent Vidushi Gauri Diwakar, Padma Shri awardee Shovana Narayan, eminent Rudra Veena maestro Ustad Bahauddin Dagar, acclaimed Hindustani classical vocalist Smt. Moumita Mitra, and Warli artist Shri Chandrakant Gaju Mahala. 

Through a series of intensive workshops and interactive sessions from 18–21 March 2026, the initiative aims to inspire students to explore and appreciate the depth of India’s classical traditions while fostering creativity, cultural awareness, and artistic learning within the university community.
