The HNDB Central Library (Hari Narayan Dutta Baruah Central Library), Assam down town University was established in the year 2010 with the main motto of fulfilling the essential knowledge needs of the students, faculties, and research scholars and staff of the university. HNDB Central Library functions with great precision and dedication to promote academic excellence.
The HNDB Central Library is located in the “K Block”.
Library Timing: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
10.00 AM to 12.00 PM on University holidays and Sundays
To mould young community into knowledgeable human being who can contribute towards socio-economic development.
The mission of the library is to preserve and disseminate knowledge amongst the users. HNDB Central Library works as a knowledge hub for the scholarly community.
The HNDB Central Library is located in the “K Block” which lies near the swimming pool and the temple area in the university campus. The Library is spread over three floors of the building.
A significant storehouse of information and research tools, our HNDB Central Library is home to an impressive collection of accomplishments, including papers, theses, project reports, and a wide range of books.

The collection of the library is not only limited to text books , but reference books, music collections, international collections, rare collections are also preserved in the library. Total 27359 printed books (text books as well as reference books) are available in the library. Besides printed books, HNDB Central Library consists of printed journals, magazines, e-books, e-journals etc.
