Programme Overview
Students with a science background can opt for a career in physiotherapy. To become a practicing physiotherapist or work in a hospital or clinic, one must have a Bachelor's degree. The course provides a basic understanding of the human body, medical sciences, therapy procedures, and related skill training. The curriculum covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, psychology, medical and surgical conditions, biomechanics, kinesiology, disability prevention, rehabilitation, and others. Practical work forms a significant part of the course, including an internship period where students work under professional supervision at various hospitals and institutions. Interpersonal skills are essential in physiotherapy as it is a patient-oriented job. A physiotherapist should have above-average analytical and logical reasoning skills, scientific reasoning, problem-solving abilities, good memory and recall of scientific facts, manual dexterity and physical stamina, patience and understanding of people, a sympathetic approach to patients, a desire to help others, levelheadedness in emergency situations, mental and emotional strength, team spirit, good observation skills, and the ability to instill confidence and courage in patients. Course Overview

The purpose of this course is to develop analytical skills among the students and enhance their proficiency in English language use. It introduces the students to various types of sentences used in different situations. The Fundamentals of Statistics course is designed to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge. This course is designed to train students in the conduct of a systematic literature review and develop the skills to conduct a review built on the framework of evidence-based practice, an increasingly important standard in the arena of literature reviews. This course combines didactic classroom sessions with substantial project work to create a systematic literature review. Students will be taught how to perform each step in a review and will then be expected to apply it to a topic of their choosing. They will get feedback at each stage in the process. The final deliverable for the course will be a systematic literature review.

Course Overview

This course enhance and ensure quality electrophysiologic testing for patients with pathophysiological conditions of the nervous and muscular systems.

Course Outcomes
  • At the end of the course the students will be able to interpret the E.M.G. and nerve conduction studies with appropriate clinical reasoning.
  • The students will gain expertise in the skill of using various electrical currents for the purpose of Electro diagnosis and able to interpret the same.
