Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Trauma Emergency and Disaster Management is a three-year graduate programme that deals with the knowledge of disease processes and specific bedside procedures, as well as technical skills for handling critical emergencies, including cardiac, neurological, polytrauma, and pediatric emergencies. Upon completion of the programme, students will be equipped to handle serious medical and surgical emergencies and can be recruited by hospital and ambulance services, such as 108 and air ambulance.

AIRWAY MANAGEMENT& RESPIRATORY EMERGENCIES

Course Overview

This course seeks to instruct students on the anatomy, opening, and maintenance of the airways. focuses on providing high-quality hands-on training by global standards. On intubation trainers, all participants will be able to practice various techniques and equipment and introduce the students to how to assess the patient's airway obstruction and manage them in the hospital as well as out of hospital settings. Also, recognition of airway compromise, including recognition and management of upper airway obstruction including foreign bodies and infections.

Learn the relevant anatomy of the upper airway and the physiology of breathing.

This course is designed to help them understand the basics of the Cardiovascular and neurovascular systems and their physiologic changes. It also helps the learner to develop a comprehensive knowledge of ECG theoretically and practically. This course is provided to the students to know how to deal with an unconscious patient and how to perform CPR efficiently.

Course Overview

This course will help explain the history of EMS dispatch, describe the basic configuration of EMS communication systems, recall components of an EMS dispatch program and discuss enhancements of communications such as automatic number/location/vehicle identification as well as the role of federal and state agencies within EMS systems. Also, explain the different EMS system models, describe integrated processes and aspects of field response, explain the integration of the EMS system with the community and medical community, and describe infrastructure support services functions.

Learn to define the components of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) systems and differentiate the roles and responsibilities of the First Responder from other out-of-hospital care providers by the specific statutes and regulations in your state regarding the EMS system.

Course Overview

This course will demonstrate knowledge of driver’s responsibilities, vehicle laws, and defensive driving techniques and understanding the practical knowledge of techniques on basic inspections and maintenance of ambulances. Also, demonstrate knowledge of techniques for operating an ambulance vehicle before the run, during the run, while at the emergency scene, to the hospital, and when returning to quarters. This course will help in implementing the disaster management cycle (mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery) in the aspects of disaster management.
