Post Basic BSc Nursing

What is this Programme about?

  • Apply the knowledge in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
  • Provide nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with the other health care team members.
  • Provide promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of nursing care.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills in making decisions in all situations in any setting.
  • Practice nursing within the framework of code of ethics and professional standard of conduct.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals and groups and other health team members

ADMISSION CRITERIA:

Eligibility:

  • 10 + 2 & GNM preferably with one year of experience after GNM Nursing.

Selection:

  • Candidates will be selected on Merit basis. GNM results should be 60% or more.
  • A candidate who has not yet completed GNM internship should not be counsel for admission.
  • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ ST candidates may be given.
