This Code shall apply to all kinds of conduct that occur on the University premises and any off-campus conduct that has or may have serious consequences or adverse impact on the University's interests or reputation.
A Faculty shall carry out the legitimate academic and administrative decisions taken by the authorities of the University pertaining to his/her sphere of responsibility/duties.
A Faculty shall not discriminate against a student on political grounds for reasons of race, religion, caste, language or sex or for other reason of an arbitrary or personal nature and shall not incite students/teachers against other students or other teachers, colleagues or administration/Governing body of the University.
A Faculty shall not remain absent from duty without proper sanction of leave except in case of emergency.
A Faculty shall desist/refrain from indulging in unempirical publication which would prove to be detrimental to the reputation and the progress of the University.
Co-operate in the formulation of policies of the institution by accepting various offices and discharge responsibilities which such offices may demand.
Co-operate with the authorities for the betterment of the University, keeping in view its interest and in conformity with dignity of the profession.
Should adhere to the conditions of contract.
Refrain from availing themselves of leave except on unavoidable grounds and as far as practicable with prior intimation, keeping in view their particular responsibility for completion of academic schedule.
Must follow the AdtU Policies and instructions issued by the University authorities from time to time.
Contribute to the development and promotion of sound educational policy,
Contribute to the development of an open and reflective professional culture.
Treat colleagues and associates with respect, working with them in a very congenial environment.
Assist newcomers to the profession, unless disclosure is required by the law or it serves compelling professional purpose.
Respect confidential information on colleagues unless disclosure is required by law or serves a compelling professional purpose.
Speak out if the behaviour of a colleague is seriously in breach of this code.
