










Assam down town University successfully organized the 6th National Conference on the theme "Uniting for Climate Resilience and Sustainable Health: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Global Goals", bringing together academicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, and students to deliberate on sustainable healthcare practices and collaborative approaches towards achieving global development goals.
The inaugural ceremony began with a welcome address by Prof (Dr)Manashi Sengupta Sengupta, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, AdtU. The occasion was graced by Prof. (Dr.) N.C. Talukdar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof Pranveer Singh PhD-IITK., Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. M.K. Modi, Executive Dean, AdtU, and Ms. Junu Sharma, Registrar, Assam Nurses Midwives' & Health Visitor Council. The dignitaries formally inaugurated the conference by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The conference theme was unveiled by Prof. (Dr.) Nirmali Gogoi (Ph.D), Associate Dean, FRIC, Faculty of Nursing, AdtU. During the inaugural session, the dignitaries also released the 6th edition of the college magazine, Episteme. A pre-test assessment was conducted among participants before the commencement of the scientific sessions.
The conference featured insightful scientific sessions by distinguished experts. Dr. Forhad Akhtar Zama, Professor, Department of Community & Family Medicine, AIIMS Guwahati, delivered a session on "Community Health Equity & Multidisciplinary Partnership." Ms. Abanti Gopan, Nursing Consultant and Principal Assessor (NABH), spoke on "Transforming Nursing Education & Workforce Sustainability," while Dr. Nidhi Yadav (PhD Hospital Management), Associate Professor, International Institute of Health Management & Research, New Delhi, addressed the audience on "Planetary Health, Climate Action & Disaster Response." A post-test assessment was conducted following the completion of the scientific sessions.










As part of the conference, scientific paper and poster presentation competitions were organized, witnessing enthusiastic participation from faculty members, healthcare professionals, and students representing institutions and healthcare organizations across Assam and Kolkata. The poster presentations were evaluated by Dr. Manjusha Saikia, Associate Professor, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, AdtU, and Dr. Biswa Prasun Chatterji, Professor, Faculty of Science, AdtU. The paper presentations were judged by Dr. Manash J Borah, Additional Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AdtU, and Dr. Partha Pratim Dutta, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, AdtU.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the speakers, delegates, organizing committee, and distinguished guests for their valuable contributions. The conference formally ended with the National Anthem.
