Ms. Jasmin Islam and Dr. Daisy Sharma from AdtU's Faculty of Science coordinated the session, which intended to improve understanding of ecosystem services available to promote startup development, particularly in the food sector. The keynote speaker, Monalisha Borthakur, Director of MANORAMA FOODS PRIVATE LIMITED, highlighted her experience using ecosystem services to develop a successful food business, including overcoming difficulties and strategically leveraging support services. The discussion included a Q&A section in which participants spoke with Borthakur about startup obstacles and the value of networking.
In her closing remarks, Borthakur encouraged attendees to leverage ecosystem services for their startup ventures. The session offered valuable guidance on accessing these services and provided networking opportunities. Forty-four students from the Food Nutrition and Dietetics program participated, and the story of Manorama Foods served as a compelling example of entrepreneurial success that resonated strongly with the audience.
