Females,in particular,were more likely to be anaemic and therefore vulnerable to adverse consequences of anaemia and iron deficiency.

The prevalence of anaemia was more among girls who were 11-15years of age and there was higher prevalence of mild anaemia as compared to moderate and severe anaemia

6months during MSC.MLT In our study we have found that the overall prevalence of anaemia was 62%(50out of 81 students).Anaemia was absent In 38% of the girls.Out of the 50school girls 41were mildly anaemic,7 were moderately anaemic and 2 of the subjects were severely anaemic.
