The main focus of the course cell biology is to study the structure and function of cells. This course will focus on Eukaryotic cell biology, including subjects such as membrane structure and composition, transport, and trafficking; the cytoskeleton and cell mobility; macromolecule breakdown and energy generation; and cell integration into tissues. Important cellular processes such as cell cycle regulation, signal transduction, apoptosis (programmed cell death), and cancer cell biology will also be covered.
