The Faculty of Nursing at Assam down town University observed World Mental Health Day 2024 on October 17 with the theme, “It Is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace.” Held at Auditorium 1, Block C, the event began with a warm welcome by Prof. (Dr.) Manashi Sengupta, followed by the felicitation of the guest speaker, Mr. Bhaswab Jyoti Goswami, Assistant Professor at Assam Don Bosco University.
Mr. Goswami delivered an insightful speech emphasizing mental well-being, work-life balance, and supportive environments. The event featured interactive sessions on reducing stigma, fostering inclusion, and promoting community support. A highlight was the role-play activity by students from the Faculty of Nursing, Humanities and Social Sciences and the Dhrisyam Drama Club, creatively showcasing mental health awareness.
The program successfully inspired participants to prioritize mental health and support each other in daily life.
