Prevalence of Anaemia in school going Girls of Assam, India |
Females,in particular,were more likely to be anaemic and therefore vulnerable to adverse consequences of anaemia and iron deficiency. The prevalence of anaemia was more among girls who were 11-15years of age and there was higher prevalence of mild anaemia as compared to moderate and severe anaemia

6months | In our study we have found that the overall prevalence of anaemia was 62%(50out of 81 students).Anaemia was absent In 38% of the girls.Out of the 50school girls 41were mildly anaemic,7 were moderately anaemic and 2 of the subjects were severely anaemic. |
