Assam down town University, in collaboration with Sahakar Bharati Assam, proudly hosted the Youth Cooperative Conclave 2024, a transformative event aimed at inspiring the youth to engage in cooperative initiatives for nation-building.

The conclave began with an opening address by Shri Pinak Vaishya, Convenor of the event, who warmly welcomed participants and introduced the distinguished dignitaries.

Shri Satish Marathe, Chief Guest and Director of the Reserve Bank of India, underscored the pivotal role of cooperatives in achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat by driving rural economic activities and creating opportunities for the youth. Dr. Narayan Chandra Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of Assam down town University, highlighted the responsibility of educational institutions in nurturing cooperative leadership. Shri Ulhas Kulkarni, RSS Pracharak, inspired attendees to actively participate in the cooperative movement as a means of contributing to nation-building. Additionally, Shri Manik Kalita, President of Sahakar Bharati Assam, elaborated on Assam’s potential for economic growth through cooperative models, particularly in agriculture and rural development.

Engaging panel discussions and interactive Q&A sessions provided youth participants with practical insights from leaders and academicians, enriching their understanding of cooperative development.

The conclave concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Shri Dipak Das, Secretary of Sahakar Bharati Assam, who expressed gratitude to Assam down town University, the esteemed dignitaries, and the organizing team for the event’s success.
