Day two of ‘Sizzle & Sip’ at Assam down town University was all about celebrating skills, creativity, and confidence.
The Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management, committed to grooming future professionals, organized a Food Competition that allowed participants to apply what they learned and showcase their culinary flair. Our university believes in empowering students through such real-world experiences, where they can explore their potential, compete with peers, and grow through practical exposure.
The competition brought out the best in our young participants. Their dishes spoke of passion, precision, and presentation. After careful evaluation by our faculty experts, the winners were announced: Kaya Debnath from Indian Public School secured the First Prize of Rs.5000, Pankhiraj Kumar from B Boruah College took home the Second Prize of Rs.3000, and Utkarsh Chourasia from FSSS won the Third Prize of Rs.1000. A special Consolation Prize was awarded to Vidya Kumari from Indian Public School for her impressive effort.
We are deeply grateful to our dedicated mentors, student volunteers, and the enthusiastic participants who made this initiative a grand success. Through ‘Sizzle & Sip’, the Hospitality department once again demonstrated how Assam down town University combines education with experience, shaping tomorrow’s hospitality leaders, one workshop at a time.
