World Environment Day Celebration Inspires Young Environmental Stewards Through Awareness, Plantation, and Creative Competitions

The Outreach and Extension Committee and NSS Unit of Assam down town University organized a meaningful World Environment Day celebration at Bonda Ancholik High School.

Led by Dr. Dr. Daisy Sharma, Dr. Manjusha Saikia, Dr. Swagata Devi, Dr. Jasmin Islam, Dr. Dr. Shyam Choudhury, and Mr. TONMOY PRAN BEZ, the programme engaged students through a series of impactful activities, including plantation of fruit saplings, an awareness session on pollution and environmental conservation, an environmental quiz competition, and a drawing competition on the theme “Pollution and Environment.”

Students enthusiastically participated in all activities, demonstrating creativity, awareness, and a strong commitment to protecting the environment. Winners of the quiz and drawing competitions were recognized and awarded for their outstanding performances.
The event successfully blended learning with action, inspiring young minds to become responsible environmental stewards and reinforcing the importance of sustainable living for a greener future.
