Assam down town University, through the Discipline of Hospitality and Tourism Management under the Faculty of Commerce and Management, successfully organized a captivating Workshop on Floral Arrangements titled “The Petal Poetry: Where Creativity Meets Blossoms”.

The workshop brought together students, faculty members, and floral art enthusiasts to explore the intricate craft of flower arrangement and its significance in hospitality, events, and design aesthetics.

A major highlight of the event was the insightful and engaging session led by Ms. Nasima Begum Lahkar, a professional flower designer working under the Ministry of Education, Thailand. With her international experience and innovative creative vision, she mesmerized the audience through live demonstrations, artistic techniques, and nature-inspired design storytelling.

During her keynote address, Ms. Lahkar emphasized the importance of creativity, color harmony, and cultural expression in floral arrangements. She guided participants through a variety of design styles from traditional Thai floral art to contemporary event décor illustrating how floral work can elevate spaces and convey emotions.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a felicitation ceremony for Ms. Nasima Begum Lahkar, followed by an informal networking session, where participants shared reflections and creative learnings.
