





Assam down town University organised a workshop on “Protecting IPR & IP Management for Start-ups”, by the Faculty of Science in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
The session focused on helping students, researchers, faculty members and aspiring entrepreneurs understand how Intellectual Property Rights can protect ideas and turn innovation into sustainable opportunities, coordinated by Dr. Daisy Sharma, IIC Coordinator, and Dr. Jasmin Islam, IIC Member, Faculty of Science.
Mr. Manash Barman, IP Attorney at IP Constellation and Adjunct Faculty at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, shared valuable insights into patents, trademarks, copyrights, IP protection, management strategies and the commercialisation of innovative ideas.
The interactive session highlighted how strategic IP management can help start-ups safeguard their innovations, build a competitive advantage, attract investment and create stronger ventures.
The workshop served as an enriching platform for participants to look beyond creating ideas to understanding how those ideas can be protected, managed and transformed into impact.
