Assam down town University, through its Institute Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and DISA, successfully organized an insightful workshop aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial skills and fostering innovative thinking among students and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The session focused on providing a comprehensive understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and their strategic importance within startup ecosystems. Participants gained practical knowledge about IP management, patent filing procedures, and the significance of protecting innovative ideas to ensure long-term business success.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Manash J Borah, Additional Dean (Associate Professor), Faculty of Engineering, AdtU, who captivated the audience with his expert insights on the types of intellectual property, key legal frameworks, and best practices for building and managing an IP portfolio in startups.
With active participation, the workshop created a collaborative space for idea exchange, critical discussions, and the development of innovative business models. It served as a valuable step toward preparing students for the evolving demands of the entrepreneurial landscape.
