On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, Assam down town University proudly honoured a group of inspiring self-made women achievers whose dedication, resilience and contributions continue to uplift society and empower communities.

The honoured achievers included Smt. Purabi Saikia Mahanta (Mangaldoi), Creative Entrepreneur; Smt. Tulika Gogoi Swargiary (Chandrapur), Entrepreneur & Community Leader; Smt. Monimala Rabha (Morigaon), Anganwadi Worker; Smt. Bijoya Das (Hatigaon), Inspector, Assam Police; Smt. Jumti Kakoti (Milanpur), Food Entrepreneur; Smt. Mommy Nath (Morigaon), Entrepreneur, Social Worker & Acclaimed Assamese Author; and Smt. Mitali Upadhaya (Kalapahar, Guwahati), Martial Artist.

These remarkable women represent determination, leadership and the power of perseverance. Their journeys remind us that when women are empowered, communities thrive and society moves forward.
