Assam down town University organised the Treasure Hunt (Technical) as part of Ecclesia 2026 under the Techno Management Fest 2026, where the event combined the excitement of a traditional treasure hunt with technical knowledge, logical reasoning and problem-solving, challenging participants to work collaboratively and solve clues within a limited time.
The competition was conducted in two categories: Category 1 for students up to Class XII and Category 2 for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Three teams, comprising five members each, from Army Public School, Narengi participated in Category 1. Category 2 witnessed participation from 27 teams, including 23 teams from AdtU and four teams from outside the university, with participants representing institutions such as the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, Gauhati University and Guwahati College. Although 42 teams registered for the competition, a total of 30 teams participated on the day.
Each team received an initial clue, which led them to subsequent challenges involving computing and technology concepts, logical puzzles, decoding tasks and analytical reasoning. Participants had to solve each clue accurately before proceeding to the next stage, making teamwork, communication, quick thinking and time management essential throughout the competition. Teams were evaluated based on their accuracy, speed and ability to complete the hunt with minimum errors, and the top-performing teams were recognised at the conclusion.
The Treasure Hunt (Technical) provided an engaging platform for students to apply their technical knowledge beyond the classroom while strengthening their analytical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
