Assam down town University, on the occasion of the 164th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, organized a 2 km Swadeshi Sankalp Run on 12th January 2026, inspired by the theme “Run for Swadeshi.”

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, Associate NCC Officers, NSS members, students of the Faculty of Nursing, and faculty members, reflecting a shared commitment to national values and holistic well-being. The run was conducted under the able leadership of Lt. (Dr.) Sangita Boro and Flying Officer (Dr.) Santa Mandal, embodying Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of youth empowerment, discipline, and service to the nation.
