Assam down town University had the privilege of hosting Dr. Angaraj Duara, Space Detector Scientist at CEI, UK, for an insightful interaction with our students, offering them a closer look into the evolving world of space science, astronomy and exploration beyond our Solar System.

Dr. Duara is associated with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO), a next-generation space telescope being developed to study distant worlds and advance the search for potentially habitable planets and signs of life beyond our Solar System. His work provided students with a glimpse into the science, technology and global collaborations involved in exploring some of the most fundamental questions about our place in the universe.

During the interaction, Dr. Duara shared perspectives from his professional journey and spoke about the challenges and possibilities that come with working on ambitious space missions. The session also offered students an opportunity to understand how scientific curiosity, technological innovation and interdisciplinary knowledge come together in the field of space exploration.

The interaction went beyond the technical aspects of space science, encouraging students to remain curious, question what they know and develop the confidence to explore new areas of knowledge. It was a valuable opportunity for them to engage with a scientist working at the forefront of an evolving field and gain perspective on the possibilities that lie ahead.

An engaging and thought-provoking session that encouraged our students to look beyond textbooks, ask bigger questions and dream beyond boundaries.
