Sensitization Program Promotes Breastfeeding Awareness, Healthy Practices and Maternal Well-Being

The Faculty of Nursing, in collaboration with the Outreach and Extension Committee, Assam down town University, organized a sensitization program to commemorate World Breastfeeding Week.

The program focused on creating awareness about the importance and benefits of breastfeeding, correct breastfeeding positions, timely weaning, and identifying good and poor attachment. B.Sc. Nursing VI Semester students actively engaged participants through informative sessions and an impactful skit addressing common myths and misconceptions surrounding breastfeeding.

An interactive quiz further reinforced the key messages, with prizes presented to the winners in appreciation of their enthusiastic participation.
Through such community-focused initiatives, Assam down town University continues to promote informed choices, maternal well-being, and healthier beginnings for every child.
