Assam down town University, through its Programme of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering successfully hosted an insightful seminar on “Research Advances in Modeling of Groundwater Porous Media and Contaminant Transport Processes.” 

The university was honoured to welcome Prof. Pramod Kumar Sharma from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, whose vast expertise in groundwater hydrology, porous media flow, hydraulics, and contaminant transport modelling greatly inspired students, researchers, and faculty members. The session offered valuable insights into cutting-edge research developments in groundwater systems, numerical modelling, and sustainable environmental engineering practices, topics that hold immense significance in addressing today’s global water and environmental challenges.
