Assam down town University, through its NSS Unit and Faculty of Engineering, organised a Rainwater Harvesting Awareness Programme at Uttar Pub Jatiya Vidyalay, Panikhaiti, to promote water conservation and sustainable water management among school students.

The session was conducted by Dr. Pranamee Baruah and Dr. Pritam Talukdar, Assistant Professors in the Department of Civil Engineering, with active participation from Civil Engineering students. It highlighted the importance and methods of rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge, and the effective collection and utilisation of rainwater. Students were also encouraged to adopt water-saving practices at home, in school, and within their communities. 

Through this outreach initiative, AdtU aims to nurture environmental responsibility among young minds and inspire them to contribute towards a sustainable and water-secure future.
