Assam down town University organised the Prize Distribution Ceremony of the Wall Magazine Competition, hosted by the Departmental Library Committee, Faculty of Science, to encourage students to cultivate regular library-reading habits and express their learning, creativity, and innovative ideas through wall magazines.

The competition brought together students from the programmes of Food and Nutrition, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Forensic Science, Zoology, and Botany, reflecting the Faculty of Science’s emphasis on creativity, innovation, and holistic co-curricular development.

The ceremony welcomed Prof. Dr. Pratap Chandra Sarma and Dr. Rubi Goswami as guests. The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Jogen Chandra Kalita, Dean, Faculty of Science, followed by insightful addresses by Dr. Pratap Chandra Sarma, Dr. Suresh Deka, and Dr. Manash Sarma.

The First Prize was awarded to Biotechnology, followed by Zoology in Second Place and Microbiology in Third Place. Food and Nutrition, Forensic Science, and Botany received Special Prizes in recognition of their creative contributions.

The initiative celebrated students’ enthusiasm for learning beyond the classroom while providing a platform to showcase their creativity, knowledge, and innovative expression.
