Assam down town University, on the occasion of World Poetry Day, witnessed a celebration of creativity and expression as the Erudite Literary Club, in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Affairs, organized a poetry competition titled “Echoes of Expression”. 

More than 20 creative and enthusiastic students from across the campus registered for the event, bringing together a vibrant blend of voices, emotions, and artistic expression. The competition was graced by esteemed guests Dr. Tridisha Bayan, Dr. Shilpisudha Goswami, and Dr. Rizwan Ahmed, while Dr. Dimpi Sarma and Dr. Nawad Zahdaan served as the judges for the event. The competition witnessed participants passionately reciting their original compositions, reflecting diverse themes and perspectives. Anish Thakur secured the first position, followed by Anjali Mishra and Ridippon Baishya in second and third places respectively, while Maitreyee Malakar received a consolation certificate. 

The event beautifully celebrated the spirit of poetry, creativity, and self-expression among the students.
