Assam down town University organised the Physio Surfers Competition as part of LUMOS 2026 under the Techno Management Fest 2026, organised by the Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, the competition introduced an interactive, technology-based physical activity inspired by endless-runner games, combining on-screen instructions with real-life body movements, where the event witnessed the participation of 40 individuals, including 39 internal participants and one external participant.

During the competition, participants followed visual instructions displayed on a screen and performed corresponding physical movements within a designated boundary. Activities included running in place, moving sideways, squatting to avoid obstacles, jumping over barriers and reaching in specific directions. The challenge tested participants' agility, balance, coordination, concentration and reaction time while encouraging them to maintain proper posture and body control.

The Physio Surfers Competition successfully combined technology and physical activity through an engaging, game-based format. It offered participants an opportunity to explore movement skills in an enjoyable setting while highlighting how gamification can encourage physical fitness, active participation and movement-based learning. The event added an interactive dimension to LUMOS 2026.
