Assam down town University successfully conducted the PhD Orientation Program for newly enrolled PhD Scholars, welcoming the new cohort and familiarising scholars with the academic framework, coursework structure, examination procedures, research requirements, and progression of the PhD programme. 

The program commenced with an inspiring address by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, who encouraged the scholars to approach their doctoral journey with dedication, academic integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to research excellence. This was followed by an informative session by the Controller of Examinations on the timely completion and evaluation of examination-related processes, while the Representative of the PhD Office provided an overview of the PhD Programme Curriculum, covering coursework, academic requirements, evaluation procedures and research progression.

The newly enrolled scholars were also presented with Welcome Kits as a gesture of encouragement and a warm beginning to their doctoral journey. The orientation concluded with guidance for the scholars to pursue their research with academic excellence, integrity, innovation, and dedication, reaffirming the University’s commitment to building a supportive and research-oriented academic environment.
