Assam down town University proudly announces the successful completion of a one-week Online Faculty Development Program on “Quantum Computing Foundations and Applications (QCFA–2025)”, organized by the Faculty of Computer Technology from 27th October to 1st November 2025.

The program brought together distinguished experts from premier institutions including IIT Guwahati, IIIT Guwahati, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIIT Nagpur, DRDO Delhi, C-DAC Pune, and IndiaMART InterMESH Limited

The FDP provided in-depth learning across a diverse range of frontier topics such as Quantum Bits, Quantum Error Correction, Quantum Computing for Next-Gen Communications, Quantum Programming, Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Optimization, Entanglement & Teleportation, Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Machine Learning, Spintronics, and Quantum Optics.

A total of 87 faculty participants from various institutes across India took part with great enthusiasm, making the programme a strong knowledge-sharing platform. Convened by DR. TASHER ALI SHEIKH and Dr. Mrinal Goswami, the FDP was hosted under the able guidance of Dr. Aniruddha Deka, Dean, Faculty of Computer Technology, and Associate Dean Dr. Debashis Misra.

The program concluded with a valedictory session, expressing gratitude to all expert speakers for their valuable insights and applauding the active participation that led to the programme’s success.
