Assam down town University successfully organized a one-day seminar in observance of National Dialysis Technician Recognition Week 2025 centered on the theme “Advancing Clinical Excellence through Safe Dialysis Practices.”

The event commenced with a melodious welcome song by students, followed by an inspiring welcome address from Dr. Dr. Dapkupar Wankhar, Dean (I/C), Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, and the traditional lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests. The seminar featured two insightful scientific sessions: Dr. Swapnav Borthakur, Senior Consultant at down town hospital, delivered a comprehensive talk on “Safe and Effective Emergency Drug Management during Dialysis,” emphasizing critical protocols and safety measures; while Dr. Amit Roy, Consultant Nephrologist at Hayat Hospital, presented an evidence-based session on “Best Practices in AV Fistula Care,” focusing on assessment, maintenance, and prevention of complications.
