Om Yoga & Meditation Club Organizes “Mindful Power Hours” to Promote Holistic Well-Being and Healthy Living Among Faculty Members

“Wellness Begins Within.”

The Om Yoga & Meditation Club at Assam down town University successfully organized a rejuvenating Yoga Session titled “Mindful Power Hours” for the faculty members of the Faculty of Commerce and Management.

The session was conducted by Mr. Binay Tiwari, who shared valuable insights on lifestyle-related health concerns such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, insomnia, and hypertension, along with practical yogic remedies to overcome them. Participants actively practiced various yoga asanas including Manduk Asana for diabetes management, Bakrasana for liver function, Griva Mudra for cervical relief, Singasana and Kantha Mudra for thyroid wellness, along with pranayama and Yoga Nidra techniques for stress relief, hypertension, and insomnia.

The session concluded with meditation and mantra chanting, leaving participants refreshed, energized, and deeply motivated toward holistic well-being. Faculty members enthusiastically participated in the program and appreciated the initiative.

The resource person was felicitated by Prof. Dr. Seema Sharma, Professor, Faculty of Commerce and Management for his valuable contribution. The Chairperson also announced the beginning of a dedicated series of yoga sessions for all faculty members of the university, promoting health, mindfulness, and balanced living across the campus community.
