An Orientation Session for newly joined NSS Volunteers of Assam down town University (AdtU) was organised to familiarise students with the objectives, activities, responsibilities and opportunities under the National Service Scheme (NSS).

The session focused on various Viksit Bharat initiatives and encouraged students to actively participate in youth engagement programmes, quizzes, awareness campaigns, community-service activities, and other nation-building initiatives through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the national youth platform under the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

The event was graced by Mr. D. Carthigueane, Regional Director and Mr. Jangjilong, Youth Officer, Regional Directorate of NSS, Guwahati, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sport. Govt Of India.

The event was organised under the supervision of Dr. Debasis Bora, NSS Programme coordinator and Mr. Dr. Anurag Baruah, Programme Officer and Mr Sanjit Kumar Bora, Faculty incharge Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology in the presence of all NSS officials of AdtU.
