






Assam down town University observed World No Tobacco Day 2026 through a No Tobacco Awareness Program organized by the Counselling Cell in collaboration with the Programme of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS).
The program was conducted with the objective of creating awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and encouraging a healthy, tobacco-free lifestyle among students and staff members. The event highlighted the serious health risks associated with tobacco use and emphasized the importance of making informed choices for personal well-being.
Through informative sessions, engaging discussions, and awareness activities, participants gained valuable insights into tobacco-related diseases, prevention strategies, and the benefits of quitting tobacco. The program also encouraged individuals to become advocates for positive change by promoting healthy habits within their communities.
