Assam down town University celebrated National Engineer's Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, alongside LINKUP 2026 – Engineers • Alumni • Connections.

The celebration brought together the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, distinguished alumni, faculty members, laboratory instructors, staff, and students, creating a memorable gathering of the university’s engineering community.

The program featured a tribute to Sir M. Visvesvaraya, addresses by university dignitaries, an Engineers’ Day cake-cutting ceremony, alumni felicitation, interactive alumni sessions, and cultural performances. A special highlight was the presence of alumni who returned to their alma mater to share their professional journeys, experiences, and cherished memories with the students and faculty.

The event was coordinated by Ms. Gayatri Das, whose dedicated efforts in planning, alumni engagement, coordination, and execution contributed to the successful celebration. 

The program concluded on a joyful note, celebrating the spirit of engineering, togetherness, and lasting connections while strengthening the bond between the Faculty of Engineering and its alumni.
