Meet K Chokhone Krechina fondly called the “Flower Lady of Manipur.” 

An alumna, with Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Assam down town University, Krichena combined her scientific expertise with a lifelong passion for flowers to establish Dianthe Private Limited. Her venture is built on sustainability, dignity of labour, and the collective strength of more than 300 women farmers. Despite not owning farmland herself, she created a vital link between rural growers and urban markets, ensuring that every bouquet tells a story of empowerment and resilience. 

Her inspiring journey, rooted in local wisdom and guided by modern vision, has now gained national recognition. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Mann Ki Baat address, applauded her efforts in transforming floriculture into a thriving economic force in Manipur’s Senapati district. 

It is the story of a community blossoming with pride, quietly stepping into the national spotlight.
