Assam down town University organised a Literary and Cultural Open Quiz titled “Akhan Nedekha Nodir Xipare” on the occasion of the centenary birth anniversary of renowned Assamese poet and literary figure Nabakanta Barua.

The event began with a brief introduction highlighting Nabakanta Barua’s remarkable contributions to Assamese literature, followed by the felicitation of the quiz master Mr. Dipankar Koushik and the special guest Dr. Upala Barua. The quiz was conducted in the Assamese language, and was open to all participants. It featured multiple rounds covering literature, culture, and general knowledge, keeping the audience actively engaged through interactive questions and lively discussions between rounds. At the conclusion of the competition, the winners were announced, with the 1st prize receiving Rs.6000, the 2nd prize Rs.4000, and the 3rd prize Rs.2000, along with certificates of achievement. 

The event concluded successfully with a vote of thanks to the quiz master, participants, and audience for making the program engaging, educational, and memorable.
