The Assam down town University in collaboration with Spicmacay with the Guwahati Chapter, hosted an enchanting workshop demonstration by renowned classical dancer Kankana Sinha from West Bengal.

Ms. Sinha beautifully unraveled the essence of Manipuri Dance, showcasing its intricate footwork and expressive storytelling. Her mesmerizing performances of Devi Stuti and Dashavatara blended tradition with contemporary choreography, captivating the audience.

She also introduced Thang Ta, Manipur’s traditional martial art, inspiring students to embrace self-defense. The interactive session allowed participants to explore the Lashya (graceful) and Tandava (vigorous) aspects of the dance, making it a truly immersive experience.
