International Students from Over Ten Countries Unite for a Vibrant Multicultural Celebration

Assam down town University celebrated a vibrant showcase of multicultural unity as students from more than ten countries, including Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, South Sudan, Lesotho, and Liberia, actively participated in the international student program. 

The event began with an inspiring speech by the Prof Pranveer Singh PhD (IITK) FIE FSED Disruptive Learning Innovator, Hon’ble Pro Vice-Chancellor, AdtU. This was followed by a dynamic lineup of cultural performances presented by international students, each reflecting the rich traditions and artistic expressions of their home countries. An engaging interactive session then allowed one student representative from each nation to share their personal experiences and perspectives, fostering deeper cross-cultural understanding. 

The program concluded with the Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. N. N. Dutta, delivering heartfelt closing remarks, acknowledging the significance of cultural diversity on campus and appreciating the vibrant participation of international students. Prof. (Dr.) Mrinmoy Basak, Director–International Affairs, also shared encouraging words, applauding the students’ enthusiasm and their meaningful contributions to this enriching cultural exchange.
