Assam down town University hosted an insightful and interactive session titled “Navigating Teams Through Transition and Uncertainty”, organized by the Faculty of Commerce & Management.

The session was coordinated by Dr. Winee Saikia and Dr. Tssentsupeni Murry, Assistant Professors of the faculty. The session featured Mr. Sridhar Aranala, Chief Sales & Distribution Officer at The Hindu Group, was the distinguished speaker, accompanied by two guests. 

The session focused on helping students understand real-world business challenges and strengthening their confidence and professional readiness. In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, organizations often face restructuring, technological changes, and strategic shifts. During such periods, effective leadership, clear communication, and a structured approach to change management become essential for maintaining team performance and ensuring organizational stability.

Conducted in an engaging panel discussion format, the session included six selected students who participated as panel members and interacted directly with the speaker. The discussion revolved around important themes such as leadership during change, communication in uncertain situations, and strategies for building resilient teams. Drawing from his extensive professional experience, Mr. Aranala emphasized the importance of transparency, trust, and employee engagement while managing teams through challenging times. Students actively contributed by asking thoughtful questions and sharing perspectives related to leadership and career development.

Overall, the session successfully bridged the gap between academic learning and industry practices, while encouraging students to develop the leadership abilities and strategic thinking required to navigate complex and evolving business environments.
