Assam down town University successfully organized an interactive session on Conflict Resolution, providing students with valuable insights into managing and resolving conflicts effectively.
The session began with a warm welcome and an introductory speech by Tanushree Paul, an MBA 2nd semester student, who highlighted the distinguished profile of the guest. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony, where Dr. Seema Sharma, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, honored the guest with a traditional Assamese Gamusa and a memento.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Mukesh Agarwal, IPS(Rtd.), Former Director General of Civil Defence & Commandant General of Home Guards, Assam, Former Special DGP-cum-Director, Fire & Emergency Services, Assam, shared his expertise on conflict management. He provided a comprehensive understanding of what conflict is, the different types of conflicts, and the nine key elements of conflict resolution. Through engaging discussions, he guided students on how to resolve conflicts without chaos, break down barriers, and foster peaceful resolutions.
The session witnessed active participation from students, who interacted with the speaker to gain practical knowledge and real-world perspectives on conflict resolution techniques. The event concluded with a heartfelt note of gratitude, as Dr. Homeswar Goswami (Emeritus) presented a token of appreciation to the esteemed guest for his insightful contribution.
